I recently turned 33 (my Jesus year), and instead of rushing into “what’s next,” I gave myself the gift of stillness. I paused. I reflected. I took stock of my life not just the visible milestones, but the invisible shifts happening within me
It may be a bold statement to make, but I say it with full honesty and deep joy: I am the BEST version of myself today than I have ever been. I love myself more than I ever have and I am more confident, not because life is perfect, but because I’ve shifted my mindset
These 33 shifts didn’t happen overnight. They came through quiet moments with God, difficult conversations, joyful wins, silent and loud tears, and the ongoing work of self-awareness. I wanted to give language to what has transformed me, in the hope that it may spark something in you too
Here they are five categories, 33 truths. I invite you to read with an open heart:
1. Mindset & Personal Growth
Don’t overthink your life — clarity often comes through movement, not perfection
Identify your strengths and walk boldly in them—your gifts make room for you
Name your fears and seek resolution—fear thrives in the unknown
Challenge the lies you believe about yourself and replace them with truth
Give yourself grace to fail—progress lives on the other side of failure
Be patient and kind with yourself—growth is never a straight line
Develop a habit of gratitude—it transforms what you have into enough
Set wise boundaries—protect your energy, but don’t isolate yourself
Prioritise self-reflection and care—it’s not selfish, it’s necessary
You deserve peace—don’t let anger and resentment steal it
2. Faith & Inner Peace
Have hope in yourself because your hope is anchored in God
Forgive yourself—perfection isn’t required for progress
Let go of bitterness and unforgiveness— it only keeps you stuck
Choose not to live with an offendable heart—you weren’t built for constant offense
Speak life over yourself—your words shape your world
Find rest for your soul—true rest is a rhythm, not a reward
Let go of your need to control—God’s plan is always better than yours
Release the emotions weighing you down—your freedom is worth it
Invest in your relationship with your faith —it anchors everything else
3. Relationships & Emotional Wellness
Don't beg for love or attention. The right people will see your value
Surround yourself with people who see your greatness—not just your hustle
Not everyone is meant for every season—let go with love
Healthy relationships need communication, not mind-reading—speak up
Honor yourself—don’t shrink to keep others feel comfortable
Be present with people—deep connection happens in stillness, not scrolling
4. Health & Well-being
Prioritise margin in your life—rest is productive
Move your body—not for aesthetics, but for vitality
Go outside—nature is God's reset button.
Nourish your body with food that fuels and heals
Laugh often— laughter is medicine, don't take life too seriously
5. Purpose & Legacy
Live an honest life—become who your younger self would look up to
Stop waiting for the 'perfect time'—start with what you have now
Your life is your greatest work of art—build something meaningful with it
