ABOUT ME

My
Story
I've always believed that everyone is built with a purpose. Whether they’ve discovered it yet or not, I believe each and every one of us was created on purpose, for a purpose

Early Influences and Background

I am a second-generation immigrant, born in the vibrant city of London to Nigerian parents. Growing up, I split my time between London and Africa, immersing myself in the richness of both cultures. It was during these formative years that I discovered my creativity, a passion that would later lead me to pursue a BSc in Fashion Management at the London College of Fashion.
Under the mentorship of renowned professors and academic researchers, I honed the core skills needed to build and scale a fashion business. However, my greatest teacher was the real-world experience I gained while building KIWI&YAM

Building KIWI&YAM

In 2015, I founded KIWI&YAM, an African-inspired clothing line born out of a need for cultural expression among the diaspora. The brand fused distinct African prints with contemporary designs, resonating with an international audience and gaing multiple celebrity collaborations as well as press including a collaboration with PUMA. KIWI&YAM became a testament to the power of creativity and the beauty of cultural storytelling

A Turning Point: The Pandemic and Reinvention

When COVID-19 hit in 2019, the fashion industry faced unprecedented challenges, from shipping issues to closed factories. For small businesses like KIWI&YAM, who mostly produced in China, operations were deeply affected. At the same time, I was navigating a new chapter in my personal life as I prepared to welcome my beautiful daughter into the world. Running a fashion business became increasingly difficult, so I made the decision to pause—but not stop

Founding TFB

In 2019, amidst the uncertainty of the pandemic, I co-founded The Fashion Blueprint (TFB), a community-first consultancy designed to support independent and sustainable brands with the blueprint for starting and scaling their businesses. What began as a solution to industry challenges has since evolved into an incredible network of startups, scale-ups, professionals, and enthusiasts
Now I've set the stakes even higher with TFB STUDIOS, the world's first one-stop-platform to start and scale a sustainable fashion brand

Growing as an Entrepreneur

During my time, I've immersed myself in the world of entrepreneurship, participating in several incubators and accelerators, including:
-
Morgan Stanley x Somerset House’s BBR Program
-
Foundervine & Lloyds Banking Accelerators
-
Barclays Eagle Labs
I was also awarded first place in the NEF+ pitch competition, an achievement that further solidified my place in the founder ecosystem. These experiences allowed me to build an advanced global network across both the fashion and entrepreneurship landscapes
Multifaceted Misi
Today, I wear many hats: entrepreneur, creative, mother, philanthropist, UN ambassador, and founder of the Misi Africa Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to creating meaningful change. Each of these roles reflects my passion for innovation, community, and purpose. Whether I’m designing, mentoring, or championing sustainable practices in the fashion industry, my mission remains the same: to inspire others to embrace their purpose and redefine their limits
I hope to inspire authenticity, sustainability, and a purpose-driven creativity community. This journey has been one of resilience, reinvention, and relentless passion—and I’m just getting started!
